Packet Sender is an open source utility to allow sending and receiving TCP, UDP, and SSL (encrypted TCP) packets. The mainline branch officially supports Windows, Mac, and Desktop Linux (with Qt). Other places may recompile and redistribute Packet Sender. Packet Sender is free and licensed GPL v2 or later. SSL Explorer is a different type of VPN, the type that most people call an SSL VPN. SSL Explorer is, to the best of my knowledge, unique as the only open source solution of its nature . Barracuda bought them and closed-sourced it. SSL Explorer was an awesome product. OpenVPN is great but doesn't do what SSL Explorer did.
